MANILA, Philippines - to create young children's 1st college expertise enjoyable and encourage them to remain in class and complete their education, Department of Education (DepEd) continues its efforts to strengthen the competency of its preschool academics.
According to Education Secretary Armin Luistro, DepEd-through the Bureau of Elementary Education (BEE)-will conduct a Summer Institute Program (SIP) for Preschool academics from might two to twenty seven so that they might higher perceive the developmental characteristics of young learners.
"The conduct of the program can give pre-school academics quality preparation in meeting the standards needed by the department," Luistro said.
The summer coaching "just shows that nothing will stop us in pursuing an institutionalized preschool program in our public faculties," Luistro added.
For the DepEd secretary, "enhancing the competencies of preschool academics can have an excellent impact on the young learners therefore we should always make sure that they're prepared for the challenge."
The program is anticipated to create academics competent within the use of developmentally applicable ways and methods to develop the child's potential in their physical, social, emotional and cognitive areas.
"This is additionally geared toward developing skills by fixing the educational atmosphere and establishing routines using positive steering," Luistro said. "It can likewise justify basic principles in designing developmentally applicable practices and activities to preschool kids."
Six universities across the country can host the summer program. The University of the Philippines in Diliman, Mariano Marcos Memorial University in Ilocos and Bicol University in Albay are going to be the venue for 800 participants from Luzon.
A total of 560 academics from Visayas can attend the program at West Visayas State University, whereas Southern Mindanao State University and University of Southern Philippines can function venues for the program in Mindanao.
